Beacon, NY

While in NY, we found this cool little park near our hotel. They were having a little farmer's market type festival and T got to feed the ducks. Hope you like birds, boys and boats.....because that's all I have for you. :)

Cadet in Training

I think we've created a monster. :) This little boy is now OBSESSED with anything Army. G's parents bought him this get-up while we were in NY. Wanna guess what he has worn almost everyday since???

And for the record...the ride home was actually quite pleasant. T was an angel!!! Even when we got stuck in DC traffic....he was perfectly content. I did sit in the back with him most of the way and we colored, played with Legos, read books, played video games and watched movies. He finally fell asleep after dinner in Petersburg, VA and slept the rest of the way. Needless to say we were exhausted when we got home at 11:30 PM....but we were home and that in itself was a wonderful feeling!

Here are the last of my WP photos. Just a few random things I took pictures of after we dropped Corey off.

West Point-USMA: Part 2

Well, it seemed like as soon as we got to see Corey, we had to send him back. We actually had most of Saturday and Sunday with him, but it didn't seem like that long. Sunday was his 18th birthday, so that was kind of fun. We celebrated with brownies and a big ol' NC watermelon. His mom gave him a boodle box full of goodies and T picked out some Legos....you know...so Corey could build them for T. Definitely not what we would have done at home, but not every Cadet gets to spend his/her birthday with their parents, so I guess it worked.

And you know....I really hated to see Corey go back to school. But you know what I hated even more??? The thoughts of driving home....the full trip in one day......
